I want to go over builder warranties because something I see all the time is people assuming a builder warranty covers everything and it doesn't!
Most warranties cover structural issues for 10 years, but things like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical are usually only covered for about 2 years, and cosmetic items for just 1. After that, it’s on you. So make sure you take that into consideration when making your decision!
Before you sign, make sure you understand exactly what’s covered and for how long. And always get your own inspection, even on a new build!
